Strong dark roasted malt nose. Pitch black, small frothy dark brown head, mostly lasting, good lacing; aroma roasted malts, dark fruits, dark chocolate, espresso, hint vanilla. Taste medium sweet and bitter, roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, fruity bits, spicy notes. Lingering roasty bittersweet aftertaste, coffee, chocolate, some alcohol. Medium body, smooth oily texture, soft carbonation, overall a rich and round stout, very good indeed.
Clear dark ruby brown colour, good frothy tan head, fairly lasting, good lacing. Fruity nose, aroma dark malts, oranges, cherries, black berries, after a while also cocoa, light licorice. Taste medium sweet and bitter, roasted malts, dark chocolate, dried dark fruits. Lingering roasty sweetbitter aftertaste, chocolate, fruity, medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, excellent.
Clear deep golden colour, small frothy white head, slowly diminishing, good lacing. Strong fruity aroma, grapefruit, lime, pale malts, caramel. Taste is medium bitter and light sweet, citrusy, long duration. Light-bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish, light malts, herbal notes, impressive for a 2.7% beer.
Clear pale golden colour, small foamy white head, stays for a while, fair lacing. Strong citrus nose, grapefruit, lemon. Fresh medium bittter and sweet taste (more bitter than sweet). Light to medium body, never watery, soft carbonation. Crisp light bitter finish, good balance, you don’t notice the low ABV, good.
frothy white head. Light amber golden color. Nice clean nose, minerally, A touch of grassiness and cereal notes. Super clean, medium aggressive bitterness, very minerally. Medium body. Super well balanced and clean. Superb
very turbid white amber color. Beautiful nose of pineapples, mangoes and guava with citrus notes. In the background I get a bit of funky yeasty notes. Palate is smooth, low bitterness, dank and low carbonation but massive funky yeast character that works fairly well with the beer. Pulled it off very well. Excellent.
medium amber color. Clean pale malt nose with apricots and apples. Crisp apple, citrus and apricot character with nice biscuity malt backbone. Off dry. Very balanced, straight forward and highly enjoyable. Excellent
medium dark amber color. Frothy white head. Not much nose but nice bready and caramel character on the palate. Malty with decent bitterness. Not amazing depth and mouthfeel is a bit too carbonated but decent.
pitch black color. Light brown head. Super decadent nose with rich dark chocolate cake note, brownies, oak and a faint bit of coconut. Drinks like motor oil, amazing dark chocolate, roasted malts, coconut and faint oak note. Medium bitterness and medium roasted malt. Abv well hidden until the end and then a nice warming finish. Dark chocolate cake sticks to the tongue and just lingers forever. Superb. Work of art. Best beer Ive had from DC
Bouteille 33cl, batch#76, BB 26/3/2021.
slightly hazy golden color. Medium carbonation lots of over ripe mangoes and a bit of citrus but not remotely dank. Medium bitterness. Not a hazy. Mediocre
Huge, very lightly yellowish head, fluffy, over orangey golden beer, well-carbonated. Citrussy hops, spicy, orangepeel, coriander, chervil. Again bitter citrussy hops, obvious citruspeel and just a hint at coriander. Some bitterness hinting at the juniper, more resiny. Quite perfumey taste, but in a quite positive way. Light body, mild carbonation, resiny aftertaste, bit refreshing. The hops best the infernal weed, bringing it to a combination that works. Good!
salty nose of licorice, dark chocolate, dark fruit and tobacco. Medium carbonation that makes the mouthfeel a bit off. Slightly oily mouthfeel. Not bad depth, abv hidden but just average impy.
nice roasted malt and excellent coffee notes. Fairly dry nose. Fairly carbonated, medium roastiness, excellent brownies character. Could be lower carbonation but really enjoyed the depth
pitch black color. No head. Senuous nose of oak, treacles dark chocolate, salty licorice . A nice umami character to it. Low carbonation smooth Abv well hidden. Everything is just lined up in harmony. Excellent
medium light amber color. Spicy hoppy nose with orange pekoe and apples prickly Hop character. Medium body. Medium bitterness. Sorachi ace really shines. Nice stuff
16/XI/19 - 33cl bottle from a trade, shared @ home, BB: 25/IV/22 - (2019-1828) Thanks to Bierridder_S for the trade!
Clear orange beer, big creamy off-white head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: bit malty, grains, grassy hops, spicy, coriander. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: little sweet, malty, spicy, coriander, some caramel, soft bitterness, dry yeast. Aftertaste: malty, little metallic, bit hoppy, some banana, yeasty, sweet touch, bit sugary finish.
Paired well with a mussel soup!
very turbid white golden color. Dank nose with overripe mangoes and pineapple. Medium carbonation, low bitterness, very dry and lacks a bit of body. Nice hop character but not nearly as dank as it was in the nose. The lower than usual bitterness and higher than usual carbonation make this a bit less appealing. Still at 5% it comes across as very quaffable. The hops make this interesting enough. Clearly a beer for the masses and sold in masses and should be a crowd pleaser. Not bad at all but not hardcore enough for geeks.
