Renowned for their Belgian farmhouse ales, good friends Phil Markowski and Belgian brewer Yvan de Baets teamed up to make this Double Grisette. This beer has the malted wheat base generous hopping of this bygone Belgian style but adds a twist: two different yeast strains were used, a wild yeast from Connecticut and a traditional Saison yeast from Belgium. The result is a dry, fruity, and aromatic farmhouse ale with a genuine Belgo-American Pedigree.

Bottled. Hazy yellowish golden colour with a small creamy white head. Aroma is fruity, toffeeish, some slight tropical fruits and mild yeasty tones. Flavour is citrus, some tropical fruits, yeast, mild herbal and grassy tones with mild earth as well. Refreshing and actually quite quaffable.

Nice stuff. Very grainy, light citrus and berries fruitiness. Dry and bitter. Some saison type yeastiness further down. Easy drinking

Bottle at home. Hazy yellow golden with big white head. Quite some citrus up front, dry cereals, oats, mirabelle, soft spicy yeast. Light sweet, medium bitter and a light sour touch throughout. Quite fruity! Medium bodied with a bit dry finish. Very nice.

De La Senne brewed. From Etre. Pours unclear orange with a fluffy, white head. Floral and grainy with some lemon, very light hoppy pine. Grassy, clean and fruity. Dry peppery, bitter finish. Elegant and rustic.

33cl brewed at DLS, not sure why it's set on the US version. BB 27/6/2018, bottled 27/6/2017.

@ BXL Beer Fest. Hazy yellow colour, white foam. Typical dry and grassy taste of de la Senne. Easy drinkable, rather lively carbonation.

10/09/2017 @ home - 33cl bottle from Malt Attacks. Clear orange with big white head. Nose is malts, lots of fruits, some spice. Taste start sweet malty, bit spice, bit bitterness. Less in your face than the usual De La Senne, but nice however.
