Schramm’s Red Agnes is more finely balanced and perceivably less sweet than her Scottish cousin, Black Agnes. Red currants provide deep floral aromatics, a fruitier initial impression, more focused acidity, and a stunning cardinal hue. Lighter and more quaffable than Black Agnes, this mead is dangerously drinkable with a delicately balanced acidity which allows the honey and fruit to sing in harmony together. Trust Schramms to be Schramms, they just don't release untasty things. Heavy sweet underneath, but almost completely hidden by loads of tart redcurrants. Great syrupy body, terrific balance, and so much flavour. Magic in a bottle.

Panda courtesy of mR_fr0g, cheers Fergus! Deep red colour, afew bubbles on top and aroma of red currants, berry fruits, red grape, spice, floral, honey. Taste is sweet, honey, berry fruity, red currant, cranberry, citric, some tartness, formic hint, syrupy, jammy with some spice and booze. Syrupy mouthfeel, full bodied, low carbonation, sweet jammy boozy finish. Very sippable.

Pours clear, dark amber-red. Scent is intense, herbal fruit (red current, but I don't know that myself on its own ). Taste is thick, juicy, fruity, mildly herbal as well ( must be typical about the fruit ). Nice honey base, very refined as well. pretty damn good.

Pour at Schramm's. Pours a clear ruby red. Lovely redcurrant driven nose with some light plum and berry aromas. Great body, smooth and decadent. Redcurrant driven with a light tannic note, but jammy fruit dominates.
