Bottle - pours black tan head - nose/taste of walnut, pistachio, chocolate, bourbon, oak and light hazelnut - medium body
Bottle thanks to Rey. Pours black with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast, pure sugar, nuts, dark fruit. Medium body, roasted malt, dark chocolate, hazelnut, boozy finish, very nice.
From bottle @ Uiltje bar, thanks Patrick Verhoeven for providing these! Black color. Dense light brown head, not much. Aroma’s: bourbon, sweet, pistachio, vanilla. Retronasal it’s bourbon, pistachio, sweet, alcoholic. Flavor is very sweet, sweet stout, honey. Rather full bodied, sticky and oily. Quite low carbonation. Long finish, the pistachio getting stronger. Very nice, if you can get past the sweetness. Good dessert beer.
Bottle shared at Uiltje Bar 2nd Anniversary. Black with a ring beige head. Aroma of chocolate brownies, chocolate fudge, milk chocolates, bourbon, caramel, vanilla, toffee, nuts and woody notes. Flavour is heavy sweet. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Lovely!
Sampled at Uiltje Bar’s Anniversary, 2017. Dark brown pour with a very thin tan head. Notes of walnuts, pecan nuts, caramel, dried sweet fruit, vanilla, brownies, chocolate muffins, a bit of mouldy cellar, rum, sherry. Wow, I did not expect a Baltic porter to taste like this. Smooth oily texture, low carbonation. --- Beer merged from original tick of Byzantine Vision on 18 Feb 2017 at 13:26 - Score: 9
