Got in a BIF from jdell15. 12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 8/16/2017. Pours nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big nutty dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, cream, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of vanilla, smoke, herbal, and roast toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, and lactose notes; with great strength. Taste of big nutty dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, cream, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of vanilla, smoke, herbal, and roast toasted earthiness. Light herbal hop and roasted coffee bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of nutty coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, cream, toasted dark/brown bread, light vanilla/smoke, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, and lactose flavors; with a nice roasted bitter/sweet balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Minimal dryness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and slightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is good. Feels very thin for some reason, but not watery. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very nice coffee milk stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, and lactose flavors; very smooth and easy to drink, with the very mild bitter finish. Very flavorful for the low ABV. Well rounded malt complexity for a stout, with really great levels of coffee presence. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of tan head that lingers. Hershey’s chocolate milk nose. Light coffee aromas. Milky mocha drink on the palate. Tons of creamy milk chocolate lingers. Really great low abv stout. --- Beer merged from original tick of Gotta Get Up To Get Down on 11 Jul 2017 at 19:42 - Score: 8. Can. Deep brown body with a frothy tan head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of coffee, roast, chocolate. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, watery/chalky texture, moderate carbonation. Yep, coffee and cream taste. OK. Too bad about the chalky mouthfeel.

Can. Intense coffee and creamy roasted barley malt aroma - could smell the coffee a foot away. Black with moderate head. Sweet milky coffee, roasted barley and mildly bitter hay flavor. Body lighter than expected. Pretty good but wished the flavor was as intense as the aroma.
Can: Pours black with a cascading, dark tan head. Coffee bean, espresso, chocolate aroma. Flavour is coffee, roasty and bold...vanilla, dark chocolate malt. Creamy and rich.... Excellent and enjoyable.
