12/15 bottle - so a couple of months past their recommended age. My interest in region ticks has reawakened. Very dark brown with a light tan head that fades fast. Aroma of whiskey, brown sugar, vanilla, oak. Full bodied, low carbonation. Tastes as it smells. Is there some bitterness at the end or does the oak and rye spiciness provide that close? Good stuff.
Bottle at home, Dark brown beer. Small head. Aroma is whisky, malt, fruit, raisins, taste is the same, sweet, bitter, alcohol, ripe fruit, very nice
Bottle - Vintage 2015 - Dark malts, vanilla and nutty notes. Dirty brown with a light brown head. Dark nutty notes, vanilla and some bourbon. Light and sweet.
Bottle from Cindy’s Spirits. Solid brown with a bit of a kick. Smooth and sugary, but still favoring the brown ale characteristics.

Bottle: (10.4%) Dark, cloudy brown with a very small off-white head. Woody caramel, rye aroma. Taste is sweet....rye/bourbon, caramel malt....a little spice, chocolate...vanilla... AMAZINGLY smooth... THIS is really superb !!! Strangely, the label is stamped: "Bottled In: Winter of 2015"......must be from the future.....purchased at a liquor store a few blocks from Three Floyd’s at DLD’15....Now, I suppose it’s possible we hit 88 MPH while travelling to Munster, IN.....I wonder....is Shrubber85’s Volvo Wagon somehow kin to Doc Brown’s Delorean?!?.....perhaps the floormats, suffused as they are with spilled growlers and pipe tobacco and Coffee act as a simplistic "Mr. Fusion" power source.....hmmmm.....to think, all that money spent on the Hadron Collider, and two beer geeks unravel the mysteries of the Universe and substantiate Quantum Theory just by folding time-space in order to better attend festivals and check in at new breweries.......That Nobel Prize money is going to buy a shitload of beer !!!!!
Bottle. Wood, bourbon, and chocolate malt aroma. Dark brown with minimal head. Sweet strong bourbon, raisin, chocolate malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Bourbon aftertaste. Excellent.
Bottle. Opaque brown color, thick tan to beige head with curtains of lacing. Aroma of vanilla, plums, prunes. Taste is rich vanilla, dark fruit, butterscotch. Tasty.
