We looked to acclaimed Chef José Andrés to help us create a Spanish take on the farmhouse style saison. The addition of Lemon Verbena, pink peppercorn, sumac, and dried lime infuse the chef’s distinctive flavors into the brew – an ale purposefully crafted to compliment all your culinary endeavors. Or be savored all by itself.

Nothing special here, ordinary Saison. Added spices and herbs aren’t present in enough quantities to make a difference

Draught on July 1, 2015. At the brewpub in Portland.Clear golden color, white head. Sweet, spicy, herbal taste. Spicy aftertaste, also banana. Fizzy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Sweet, spicy scent.

Draft - Sweet herbal and peppery notes with a touch of vinegar. Clear gold with almost no head. Sweet peppery notes and a sweet light vinegar finish. Nice.

On tap at Fat Heads Portland. Pours a clear orange with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is fruity malt and yeast. Medium mouth, herbal, citrus, light spice, good.

Draft at GABBF: Poured a hazy yellow to golden with white head. Aroma was zesty citrus and yeast. Taste was a weird soapy dish water and strong belgian yeast esters.

slightly sour fruity nose. I would say some fruit is added, perhaps tropica fruit. Not too sour or hoppy, really interesting.

Draft at Scion courtesy of Nate, thank you sir! Clear yellow color. Aroma is herbal. Taste is very sweet, plain, medicinal. More like a tripel than a saison.
