Sour ale aged with pluots. Golden Ale aged in used wine barrels for 8 to 12 months with Brett and bacteria. After the barrel aging we transfer the beer onto approximately one pound of pluots per gallon of beer, this takes about 3 to 4 months. From here the beer is transferred off the fruit and eventually kegged. A pluot is a cross between a plum and an apricot, pluots are derived from plumcots, a fruit bred by Luther Burbank.

On tap @ Russian River. Pint down the gullet with Joe Ungström. Somewhat cloudy golden orange appearance with a tan head. The aroma has a bit of funk, plums, stone fruits, vanilla, and white wine. Good acidity. Moderately sour. Juicy plums. Light grape. Dry. Tame.

1 oz pour at RR

A - hazy and light orange

S - Horse and ropey scent. Very tart on the nose

T - Lots of orange on the taste. Hints of lemon juice. Wheat is dominating and this tart continues to prevail through the finish. Very sour. Finish is fruity like peaches.

M - Decent carbonation

O - This is a solid wild ale. It’s one I wish was very easy to get on the shelf. It’s pretty damn good.

Tap at the source. Hazy dark golden color, small white head. More bitter than Temptation, fuller body, and the sourness is a bit more subtle. Good stuff.
