Medium, rather dense tan head over nearly black brown beer. Strong smoked nose, smoked ham, phenolic, bit salty, horseblanket. Smoked, roasted, but qutie sweet. Just a bit metallic-rusty-bitterish lining in the finish, but the sweetness remains. Some phenols. Feels quite well-carbonated. Bit porridge-like feeling, well-bodied, light alcoholwarmng. Sweet, thick Rauch.

Bottle from Burg Bieren, BB Nov 2016, large sample. Clear copper color, short frothy light brown head. Aroma of smoked malt, bacon, dry sausage, campfire, some caramel, slight earthy hops, bit fruity candy. Medium sweet in taste, dry sausage again, some fruit. Smoke is balanced out wonderful throughout the beer and it’s the typical german bamber smoke, which I love the most. Great balance, lovely sipper. Love this stuff. Equals the german great rauchbiers. Awe-some.
