Gold, white - lemon, oak, funk
soft, bit of spice, not so sour, nice mustiness. Palm type maltiness
Bottled 2002. Dark color for a geuze. Cherry aroma. Fairly sweet with just a bit of sourness. Strong fruit flavors, apple, grapes and cherry. Very vinous with caramel and freesh cheese. A bit disappointing. 7 3 7 3 14 = 3.4 Re-rate: bought in ’t Grösmaeijerke in Denekamp. Subtle apricotaroma with a touch of wood. Sour flavor with a subtle woodiness. Apricot and lemon. Long lasting aftertaste with loads of fruit and a touch of wood. Excellent! Re-rate: Afspanning Oud Gaasbeek. Bottled july ’08. Aroma still in the bud, but already a complex flavor of grapefruit and the slightest hint of wood, peach and especially: ginger. Sour but also vinous and most promising.
Rerate 11. June 2019. 0,375l bottle at home. Bottled 13. July 2016. BB 14. July 2022. golden clear color, small white head. smells cheesy, musty, grassy, some wood, earthy. very nice smell. full body, pearly carbonation. tastes apple cider, peppery, leathery, light cardboard, ripe fruits, bit grainish, light cheese, funk, grassy. finishes dry and lightly sour with notes of funk, cheese and peppery notes. has some cardboard inbetween that is quite distracting, overall still very nice one though. 8, 4, 7, 3, 14
