8 Ball - Big, Bold & Ballsy

One of our earliest recipes, we wanted to push this big IPA all the way. So we packed it full of Rye and dry hopped it for days with American hops, using old pool balls to weigh the hop sack down in the beer. Hence the name.

Go ahead and sink a few, be rude not to really

Bottle at Beer Rebellion. Rich amber red colour, creamy light golden bubbly head. Aroma is satisfyingly weird rye, fruity, pretty nice. Taste is pretty good, slightly cheesy, rye weirdness, light bitterness. Pretty good. --- Beer merged from original tick of 8 Ball on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8. RB backlog, thanks @lazypyro. Rye spice, tropical fruits, caramel, orange, dough. Light to medium spicy sweetness, a bit toasty, light bitterness, well balanced. Medium body with soft carbonation. So tasty, balanced.

Interesting. Lots of rye, gives a nice herbal quality. Hoppy, nicely bitter, tiny bit of fruityness. Very thick mouthfeel, lovely creamy. Awesome can art, of course. Very well made, but maybe just a bit boring or safe in the end?

Don't believe I've not checked it in yet but had it plenty of times in Dukes.

Can from Dranken Geers, Oostakker.
Gushing, pours hazy orange with a big, lasting, frothy, off-white head that leaves lacing. The aroma contains orange & mandarin, grapefruit, yeast, grass, resin & pine, bitter hops, grain & malt. It tastes light fruity/malty sweet and medium, almost heavy, hoppy bitter; yeasty, dry, resinous, bitter finish. Medium body, slick/creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Very drinkable IPA.

On tap at Fakin Craft Bar, Zagreb. Shared with lovely Anja, Višnja 666 and Pilot Goran. Murky amber, small off-white head. Lightly to moderately hoppy, lightly fruity. Toasted malts. Light bitterness. Medium to full body, medium carbonation, moderate finish.
