330ml bottle (bottled 06-01-17). Deep ruby red colour with a small beige head, fine sediment floating in the beer. Aroma is malty, caramel, toffee, dried fruits, raisin, molasses. Taste is rich, sweet, caramel, toffee, dried fruits, spices, warming boozy (slightly harsh) finish. Full bodied, smooth, fine carbonation. Tasting pretty good at just over a year old.

Very dark brown with thin head. Aroma has some alcohol, plastic, caramel, raisins and smoke. Flavour is similar but with some almond notes too giving a feel of a Bakewell Tart. Thick and oily.

Very estery. Overripe pears & glue on a caramel, toffee & bread malt base. Too estery for me.

Draught @ Bishop’s Arms, Västerås. Sample. Poured mahogany color, thin white head. Bready, sweet, rye and marzipan notes, raisins. Hides abv nicely. Bready, sweet caramelly, some marzipan, raisins. Not that complex but fairly nice barley wine, some warming in the finish.
