Bottle from a friend. Dark brown color with thick beige head. Aroma of smoke, prunes, chocolate. Taste, dark malt, chocolate, coffee, prunes, lot of smoked malt. For me one of best smoked porters.

15 August 2018. At Sir William's Pub, Ljubljana. Cheers to Anke!
Pours hazy black with a lasting, frothy, unstable, beige head; some lacing. Inviting aroma raisin, praliné, milk chocolate, salted peanut, caramel, brown bread, candied fig. Medium malty sweet onset, notes of chocolate & mocha with a peanutty edge; light roasted bitter middle with hints of fondant & coffee, although remaining creamy and even a bit fruity & raisin-like. Dryish, toasty finish, good touch of peppery hops, lingering cream & chocolate, warming coffee liqueur alcohol. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Balanced & tasty; surely one of the best beers on this trip; a must-try when in Ljubljana!

Pours deep black, topped with medium sized, coffee coloured head, slowly settling down. Medium roasty nose upfront, some bready notes and later on dry fruits and medium smokiness (woody). Taste follows the nsoe, roasty-smoky feela bit more pronounced, a hint of chocolate sweetness and mild bittery finish. Alcohol is superbly hidden, almost no trace of it. Body is full and silky. Very lovely, with smokiness just present enough to make in impact, but at the same tame mild enough to not take over.

Tap at HHP 2018. Blackish body, beige head. Full aroma, sweetish, nice maltiness, slightly dry too, ending with some raisins/prunes. Full, lovely sweetish classic porter taste, clean, with distinct, well integrated plum note. Balanced, and by all means an excellent beer!
