Bottle at Belgoo/Lambiekfabriek, near clear pale amber with white head. Dry malts, sweet straw, spices ans herbs and yeast. Moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation.
Bottle at the brewery. Clear deep golden with white head. Flowery, thick sweet malts, bready, light sugary, apple juice, bitter green leaves, peach, quite yeasty. Over medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied.
F: big, white, good retention. C: deep gold, light hazy. A: malt, light orange, spicy, light bread, floral, yeast, hint of tropical fruits, dusty. T: malt, spicy, grassy, floral, light orange, peach, sweetbread, caramel, medium to full body, medium carbonation, good balanced and tasty, taste is much better than the weak aroma, 0,33l bottle from Prik&Tik Kampenhout.
33cl bottle. Pours clear dark golden colour with a huge good lasting off-white head. Aroma of floral malt, ripe fruits. Taste of spicy and floral malt, some metallic hops, tart fruits, strange!
Tap at the Delirium Cafe, Brussels. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head and some broken lace. The aroma is yeast, light citrus hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a chewy yeast, grass hop, alcoholic palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.
75cl bottle from Belgoklubben. Hazy amber with a small, creamy white head. Aroma has light caramel, mild red berries and yeast. Dry taste with mild grassy taste with caramel, light hops and yeast. Pretty highly carbonated. Decent beer.
Sampled draft @ ZBF 2015. Clear golden, creamy white head. Nose is sugar, odd metal, spices, fizzy. Taste is sugar, fizzy, candy, banana, sweet yeast. Yeasty. Adequate but dull & totally interchangeable. (Thx! for sharing people!)
Bottle shared. Pours hazy dark golden with an off white head. Aroma of caramel, yeast, a strange meaty note and sweet fruits. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation.
Belgoobeer’s third, with off-white, creamy head and cloudy darkish blonde colour, tending towards amber. Nutty aroma with a sweet, caramel-candy like touch and hints of pear, flowery hops and amaretto. Fruity, sweetish, apply taste, hints of melon and sherry, nutty malts, peppery hops in the end with a long, moderately bitter finish.
