One of our most aggressive and sought-after offerings. Bold bourbon, tobacco and espresso aromas and a hint of American oak greet the nose. Rich, chewy roasted malts, charred oak and bourbon-like vanilla fill the palate and create a seamless finish. A remarkably complex brew that offers a transcendental drinking experience – enjoy with good company.

This remains such an amazing beer, which indeed never fails to impress. Rich, smooth, warmingly boozy with a nice amount of bourbon. Always a pleasure to drink, and will hold up amongst whales.

Black with offwhite head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, chocotoff, booze, dark tea, whiskey, bourbon. Full body, soft carb. Intense and heavy, very tasty.

Bottle thanks to sjogro. Very nice, but again it's very boozy, way more so than I seem to remember it.

Zijdezacht. Mooie combinatie van boozy en toch nog zacht. Complex. Topspul. Maar niet veel beter dan die Puhaste Silver series en wel 2.5x zo duur.

0.355 l bottle from 'Braufactum' (web shop) at 14.5% abv, 2017 vintage, cellared for over a year. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty, minimally fruity aroma of praline, coffee, hazelnut, some licorice and traces of bourbon. Fairly sweet, malty, gently roasty, minimally fruity taste of praline, hard roasted coffee, bourbon, whisky, vanilla, hazelnut and a touch of dark fruity, followed by a long, gently roasty-bitter, slightly boozy finish. Full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. While the aroma is pretty restrained, the taste is rather intense and demanding. It's still very well-balanced and the depth and intensity provide for a really good beer.

Tap @ CBC. Pours black with a small and shortlasting mochabrown head. Aroma is very complex. Chocolate, coffee, brownie dough, vanilla, licorice, roasted malt, dates and raisins. Woody and earthy aswell alongside of a sweet toffee-caramel bourbon side. Taste is sweet with a nice roastedness and bitter aftertaste. Rerated 11/09/2014. Bottle shared with vestergaard and rasmusott. Trade from preismj. Pours pitch black with a medium light brown/offwhite head. Aromas of slight bourbon, stale, coffee, hay, marshmallow, almost minty licorice, dates and some slightly roasted malts. Taste is sweet bourbon notes up front, coffee roast, some dark bittersweet chocolate, leather, once again the slightly roasted malts, almost giving it some grain-like notes. Some toffee and very rich and smooth alcohol. A: 8, Ap: 4, T: 9, P: 5, O: 18. Total: 4.4.
