Oude Geuze Boon Black Label is the driest gueuze we've ever made. Combining a full-bodied taste with nearly 100% fermentation degree was a big challenge. This gueuze has a clear golden body with lively carbonation, balanced sourness and flavors of green apple and grapefruit. This is finished off with a long bone-dry aftertaste. The Lambics used for this blend have aged for 1, 2, and 3 years on oak casks. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name.

Pours slightly unclear blonde. Medium white head. Scent is full, mushroomy, fairly fruity and very mature Boon profile. Taste is sharp, very dry, strong oakyness. higher carbo. Lovely OG.

Pours unclear blonde. Small white head. Scent is very funky and raw, oak forward. Mature and less subtile than most Boon's. Taste is very mellow, oaky, fleshy, mild fruityness event. Mild oak. Very balanced, lovely , dry. mature-feeling, yet rather young lambic.

Towering, lightly yellow head, fed by finely carbonated clear golden beer. Old wood, lemonpeel, a comestible kind of mold, jumble of wild yeasts. Lime, a very aromatic, almost perfumey citrus-like flavour. Wood, hazelnuts, faint (fruity) background suggested sweetness. Gradually new fruitesters appear: yellow apple, yellow plums, pineapple. Light body - just don't you imagine it empty - very good carbonation (how?), slick. Another just superb blend. The F. Boon succession proves itself. I Txs to Stef! /I

Bottle from Holiday Market shared at Kriekmas 2022. Pours a clear honey gold with a full, fluffy, eggshell colored head that lingers. Notes of oak, vanilla, horseblanket and dried honey. More of the same on the palate. Nice effervescent carbonation throughout. A slight sweetness, but nice minerality and carbonation that lingers. Delicious!

22/XI/22 - 75cl bottle @ HoReCa expo (Gent), BB: n/a (2022-1656) Thanks to Erwin, Peter and others for sharing today’s beers.

Clear blond yellow beer, small creamy white head, little stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: wow, very unpleasant, lots of sulphur, manure, some citrus notes but overall very offensive. When warming up you get some more fruity notes, a bit lemony maybe, but still not good, way too much smell of manure. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: a bit sourish, lemony, dry, bit fruity, little metallic, some oranges, weird, bit floral. Aftertaste: unpleasant bitterness, some sulphur notes, veal meat, very unpleasant and weird, don’t like it.

Batch 5 7% Huge white head, fed by lively carbonation in pale golden beer; end of bottle serving scary UFO's. Horseblanket and farmyard odours, green apples, roadside herbs and flowers, marigolds, citrus, sulphur. Again floral in the mouth with exotic fruit, very light sulphur, horseblanket. Herbal notes, making it quite aromatic. Light body; lively carbonation, refreshing; almost no acidburn. Excellent gueuze, simply top. Txs to Stef!
