19/XI/19 - 33cl bottle @ HoReCa-Expo Gent, BB: n/a - (2019-1857) Thanks to the brewers and the Ghent Beer Posse for sharing today’s beers!
Clear blond yellow beer, big creamy dense white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: bit spicy, dry, fruity touch, some tangerines, green apples, bit acidic. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: nice bitterness, bit grassy, spicy touch, hint of citrus, hoppy. Aftertaste: soapy bitterness, grains, hay, cow fodder, very malty, floral touch, slightly fruity, bit sourish, weird, unpleasant bitterness, some grapefruit, by no means an IPA, like they claim it to be.
33cl bottle (5,6%) from 5th beer festival Carrément Bières in l’Abbaye de Villers-la-Ville in Belgium. F: medium, white, quick gone. C: blonde, light hazy. A: malty, bit spicy, vaguely citrus and floral, bit orange peels. T: medium malty base, light spicy, bit herbal, fruity, decent bitterness, medium body and carbonation, bit more hoppy ale but IPA? Drinkable and not bad that’s all.
