Bottle at FOFA. Pours golden with no head. The aroma is strong peach flesh, lemon zest, floral, and oak. Thin body, tart peach, lemon, oak, funk, light acidity, enjoyed this.

Hazy golden with white head. Sour grain, massive peach, ripe and fleshy, lovely sweet and sour. Peach on 3F funk. Tasty, salty, minerals. Lovely stuff.

75cl bottle from the brewery. F: no real, white, mostly bigger bubbles. C: shiny gold, hazy. A: a lot of peach, floral, woody, yellow fruits, bit yogurt, citrus touch, bit funky. T: nice light sour fruity, sour jam peach, peach stones, woody, bit lemon, bit puckering, funky, almost no carbonation, this is truly amazing, fully enjoyed.

Sampled at Borefts Pre-Tasting 2019. A bit unclear yellow color, no head. Aroma is soft peach mainly. Flavor is more sour, lightly sharp, dry sharp a bit. Hmm ok, prefer the 'wit' though.

The only one of the four recently released peach lambics by 3 Fonteinen that has been made with yellow peaches instead of white ones; bottle bought at Lambik-O-Droom (part of the pack they released especially for their Open Beer Days), shared with Goedele. Loose and snow white, bubbly and quickly thinning, eventually completely dissolving head, hazy peach (sic) blonde robe with pale orangey and vaguely pinkish tinges. Aroma of very strong sweet ripe yellow peaches indeed but very fresh (not ‘canned’ or jam-like), yellow raspberry aspect too, fresh lemon peel, unsugared fruit yoghurt, funky horseblanket note but subtle and fitting in well, hints of grass silage, dry hay, green pear, plum peel, lime, old straw bales. Crisp, estery onset, dry from the start with a lemony, slightly puckering acidity at its edges but not too sharply so, tempered a bit by an inherently sweet fructose ‘core’ from the yellow peach; medium strong, lambrusco-like carbonation, wheaty-bready base turned bone dry by the sourness, lactic but predominantly peachy-fruit-acidic, even a tad astringent in the end with a stonefruit peel aspect (which is actually part of this beer as well, of course – yet no ‘wry’ peach kernel astringency and indeed the peaches seem to have been de-stoned before use). Grass silage, old dry citrus peel and haystack aspects add complexity in the finish but it is that utterly generous peach sweet-and-sourness that keeps shining brightly till the very last drop. Quenching, complex ending with some Bretty notes – this to me is at least one of the brightest peach lambics I ever had, and that includes its Spelingen van het Lot predecessors. An absolute lambic master piece like only 3 Fonteinen can make it.
