Draught at the 2nd Vine. Pale gold-copper. No head. Shochu yeast nose, roasty rice, yaki-imo (roasted Japanese sweet potatoes), imo-jochu and lemon. Complex and interesting. Flavor of imo-jochu (Sweet potato spirits), big time! Some roasred rice maybe too. Hot alcohol. More like shochu than beer! Crazy stuff. Likeable enough, but why? The shochu yeast that they use completely wipes out any impact of the rice. Should be called Shochu ale.
