Cheers to Greg Wilson for this: a 500ml bottle, broached on 30th May 2016 while on holiday in California. Very dark brown bodied with a tanned topping, looked impressive in the large Leffe chalice I poured it into. Dark chocolate, coffee and liquorice in both the aroma and taste, dry and far from sweet in nature. A decent try at a UK style Porter.
Sehr dunkel orangebraune Farbe, schöne große beige Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr schokoladig, Vanille, minimal säuerlich. Geschmack schokoladig, bittter röstmalzig, etwas Kaffee, schlanker Körper, weich.
Tap @ Urban Chestnut. Pours a hazy deep brown appearance with a light brown head. Very roasty, light smoky, burnt malty, nutty aroma. Bitter herbal, burnt malty, charred, caramel flavor. Also got a note of KFC extra crispy chicken skin.
