Tasting at kermis’s. Bottle shared. Black with almost no head. Massive brandy, soft chocolate fudge, appelstroop, alcohol, vanilla and cinnamon. Massive marshmallow sweet and light soft nutty bitter. Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Very dark brown with small beige head. Fudge, lots of chocolate, brandy, almonds, some dried fruits, molasses, vanilla. Very sweet and some alcoholic bitterness. Full bodied with silly creamy feel and low carbonation. Very good.

12oz bottle at home. black color, very small dark coffee-colored head. smells of alcohol, sherry, liqueur, apples, nutty, marzipan, bit glueish, light sweetness. didnt like the smell at first, but after a couple minutes of breathing its very very nice. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of licorice, marzipan, nutty, vanilla, lightly liqueurish, light dried fruits, some wood, light sweetness, lightly boozy. finishes lightly sweet with notes of nuts, marzipan, liqueur and apples brandy notes. very very nice beer, a bit on the boozy side (usually not a fan), but its not distracting at all on this one. very nice balance of flavours. love it.

Bottle (thanks random bloke at koht). Pours black. Aroma is very sweet, vanilla, roast, chocolate. Flavor is sweet and bitter, chocolate, malt, vanilla. Finish is sweet and roast. Overall: good.
