Bottle at home. Clear yellow golden color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, a bit yeasty, typical blonde beer. Not much to say. 6-3-6-3-12

Sampled @ Brassigaume 2018. A clear pale golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of grainy malt, pale malt. Taste of dry pale malt, straw, hay, mild bitterness, boring.

Belgian blonde ale from a new Walloon microbrewer, bottle at Heeren van Liedekerke. Thickly and densely creamy, ‘plastery’ lacing, micro-bubbled, snow white head over a misty straw blonde beer with ochre-ish tinge. Aroma of raw potato juice, lots of green kale-like DMS, green apple, wet cereals, dough, damp straw, clay, minerals, unripe pear, rainwater. Restrainedly fruity onset with notes of green apple and unripe pear, some vague green banana, strong, numbing and very minerally (over)carbonation; cereally and bread pulp-ish malt body, slick and coarsened by the very sharp carbonation effect which lasts for a long time. Floral, somewhat grassy hop bitterishness in the end along with notes of raw potato juice (very vaguely starch-like in the end) and lingering minerals. Simple, grainy pale blonde, clearly one that seeks to imitate standard pale lager, but not very well-executed, overcarbonated and suffering from DMS. Not a great success at this point, needs finetuning.
