Commissioned blonde ale by De Sater, thanks tderoeck for sharing. Thick, egg-white, foamy, large-bubbled head over a lightly hazy, peachy-tinged ‘old gold’-coloured beer with fierce sparkling throughout. Aroma of ripe banana, coriander seed, dough, pineapple, ripe yellow plums, tulips, dried old lemon zest, dried apricots, bread crumbs. Sweetish onset with lots of banana ester as well as ripe pineapple- and peach-like notes with a sourish apple peel hint at the sides, sharp and fizzy carbonation, supple body; white bread-maltiness with a soapy side to it, accentuated in the end by the coriander effect, which blends quite well with a floral, softly grassy hop bitterishness. Not much to announce here: this is the umpteenth Belgian blonde ale, completely unremarkable, but technically well executed.
