30/VIII/15 - 33cl bottle from De Zytholoog / Bierloods (Adegem) @ my parents' place - BB: n/a (2015-1149)
Clear pale yellow beer, big fizzy white head, unstable, non adheisve, dissipates quickly. Aroma: sweet, sugary, floral, fruity touch, some citrus. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty spicy start, bit dusty, some citrus, sweet, ripe peaches, Aftertaste: spicy, little oxidized, dusty, sugary touch, cardboard, pretty spicy, cloves, coriander maybe?
Bottle at home ... golden yellow ... thin white head ... soft vegative lemon nose ... light fizz ... soft sherbert front .. little bitterness ... soft vegative again
Blonde colored beer. Not too much herb in the smell. Taste pretty ok, but a bit weak and watery.
Bouteille 33cl.
Small whitish head over hazy yellow beer; yeast in suspension. Sewer smell, manure, van ’t putteke , if (slowly) dissipating, going over in citrussy and floral (lillies?) notes. Sharp herbal/insectoid flavour, aggressive and strange. Finish carries arachide - fatty acids? Cray retronasal. Fizzily carbonated, sharp tang, light body. Pretty unpleasant beer to drink, if somewhat refreshing and certainly original. Oriental cuisines use orchids at food - as decoration, not as ingredient, if that is what they mean by épices .
