Bottled@Monks Cafe Wallingatan, Stockholm (BBE way past due). Hazy orangeish golden colour with some herbal, toffeeish and mild wooden tones. Flavour is toasted, mild rye bread, some citrus, wood and mild spiciness. Thanks to Recep for this gem.

Huge off-white head, dense, leaving lace; hazy ochre-orange beer. Slightly sharpish cookie nose, quite spicey (citrus, peppery, maybe Grains of Paradise). Farmyard odours, not unlike some latter-day Saisons. Spicey taste speculoos (sweet hard gingerbread), again some orangezeste, sourish. I agree with Michael on the balance. Warming up, I get some oxydized notes, portlike, which is strange with a BBD more than another year away. Nothing disturbing, mind. Medium bodied, quite carbonated. OK stronger blonde. Just not sure what the brewer had in mind. Nothing as exciting as the Reuss, or even Bink.
