EB winter blind tasting.
Beczka i ciemne owoce w deserowej czekoladzie, duza gestosc, duza klasa... ale kuzwa kiedys jakby robil wieksze wrazenie. Moze przez probkowanie kapke stracil?
26-09-20 // Happy Zwanze Day 2020 at Mon Petit Café, Stuttgart. Bottle, shared. Thanks! 2018. Orange Wax.Delivers.
Light body, sweet, not a ton of barrel notes
Orange wax 2018. Black and oily with no head. Aroma and flavour start with earthy mushrooms, coconut and soy sauce. Later there's more and more sweet whisky. Full and oily. Finish has some red fruit port notes.
Bottle at Dangerous Bottleshares WHLZBRZ-edition. Pours pitch black with a small mocha head. Aroma is amazingly big and rich, huge roast, vanilla, fudge, richest dark chocolate I’ve ever smelled from a stout, some dark sweet fruits, burned wood. Taste is hugeeee, roasty, strong rich dry dark chocolate, vanilla, fudge, prunes, dates, coffee, woody finish. Perfect bourbon stout for sure.
Maybe hype, maybe tasty. I like it.
Thanks Virby44 for sharing! Taster showing dark brown with sparse latte colored foam. The nose shows intense notes of bourbon and alcohol. The palate is medium bodied and lightly carbonated with a moderate alcoholic heat. Moderately sweet with notes of brown sugar and a moderate bourbon background. More sweetness on the linger. 2021 vintage showing pitch black in a taster with latte colored foam. The nose shows intense notes of bourbon and soy sauce. The palate is lightly carbonated and full bodied. Lightly sweet and moderately intense flavors of caramel latte and mild bourbon.
