Bottle thanks to Brian Braun! Pours hazy reddish dark brown with a small brown head. Aromas of coconut, sweet bourbon, light booze, fudge, cocoa, dark fruits, toffee. Taste is fruity, coconut, subtle roast, orange, caramel, toffee, butterscotch, booze.
Sampled at Ace & Kees. Dark brown with no head. Big sweet roasted malts, chocolate, nutty, fruity, boozy, creamy, massive bourbon and vanilla. Big sweet and bitter, very smooth mouthfeel and a spicy alcoholic pucker after. Very nice stuff. --- Beer merged from original tick of Firestone 17 (XVII) Anniversary Ale on 15 Nov 2018 at 17:30 - Score: 8
Bottle @ home, about 5 years old, from an IP trade with richiesd years ago. Dark brown color, not quite black. Brownish head with little retention. Aroma's: sweet, toffee, alcohol, light umami. Retronasal: sweet, toffee, bourbon, vanilla, light raisin/dried fruit, alcohol. Flavor is sweet with light roast and light bitterness. Strong alcohol feel, warming. Medium bodied (not as full as expected). Long finish, with light bitterness. Still delicious after 5 years....

22 oz bottle at share.. Mostly imperial stouts, but this was too much out of place.Dark amber pour, mahogany, small bubbly head. Aroma brings a lot of sweet malt, dark fruity notes, wood barrels and some booze. taste is more fo the same from this blend. While quite good, it didn't knock my socks off like some of the other FW anniversary beers.
At tasting. Bottle. Aroma has booze, raisin, ripe fruit, red fruit, caramel, figs and vanilla. Taste is boozy, with raisin, ripe fruit, figs, caramel, vanilla, red fruit, some nuts and a long boozy finish. This is fantastic.
Bomber. Dark brown with lace. Nose is toffee, vanilla, grapes, chocolate, cream, coconuts, strawberries, booze, molasses, raisins, rum. Sweet and boozy, great treacly flavors. Overall just a bit too sweet but luscious.
Bomber via trade. Anno 2013.
Bouteille 650ml, bottle share. Couleur acajou foncée presque opaque, mousse beige foncée fuyante. Arôme de malt torréfié, touche de cuir, mélasse, alcool. Goût poivrée, malt torréfié, boisé. Carbonatation moyenne-faible, corps moyen.
Another Borefts 2014 whale.
