What a surprise, this bottle De Prael Breedbier from martinboer! Orange blonde, cloudy. Flowery, somewhat citric aroma. Very fruity flavor (citrusfruit, pineapple, melon) with added flowery hops. Nice flavors, OK balance. Just a hint of yeast in the aftertaste. Tasted in 2002 as De Prael Johnny: Fresh aroma with yeast and apple. Hoppy, yeasty flavor with apple, citrus and grapes. Some harsh Hallertau hoppiness. The taste is much better as you would expect when you look at the beer.

Proeflokaal de prael, wazig geel/gouden met witte kraag. Aroma van mout grassig kruidenveldje, smaken evenzo, wat droog, grassig, kruidig, matige body
Draft - Grainy pale malts. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Touch of citrus and some light grains. Not bad.
Mild würziger Beginn. Trocken hefig, ab dem Mittelteil süßlich hopfig. Spritzig, steigende Intensität. Süffig, rund, mittellanger Nachhall. Okay. 10/8/10/10/8/10
Keg at SBWF. Hazy golden, small head. Rich peachy nose. Sweetish with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with peach, grass and marzipan, some elderflowers. Mid bitter finish. Would have guessed belgian blond, not kölsch.
