3 Fonteinen Schaarbeekse Kriek is the result of macerating local hand-picked Schaarbeekse cherries on young traditional lambic for at least one year, in a proportion of one kilo of sour cherries per liter of lambic. The cherry lambic is then blended with young lambic and bottles, after which our famous Schaarbeekse Kriek matures for another year at least in the bottle. Refined and with evolution in the glass. Natural fruit, no juice, syrup or sugars added. Unfiltered and unpasteurised.

0,75l bottle at home. deep red color, small pink head. smells of marzipan, sour cherries, cinnamon, spices, lovely smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes of sour cherries, marzipan, bit nutty, very subtle funk, bit grassy, cinnamon, spices. finishes lightly sour with notes of cinnamon, sour cherries and some marzipan notes. lovely, not super complex, but very easy to drink, very subtle sourness.

Inky purple color. Flat no head. Intense cherry pits, cherry pie, funky cobwebs in the nose. The nose is unreal. The palate isn’t as tart but it’s intense fruit character. Amazing nose and good palate. Really amazing

Bottle, blend 89 from 18/19. Deep red with a pale pink head that lasts a little while before fading to the rim. Mellow cherry aroma with jammy and almost kirsch-like intense ones, with wheaty crackers and oak behind. Not complex, regal. A bit more from the cherries upon a sip -booming sweet/ jammy flavours, subdued weedy/ harsh stone notes, marzipan, focused sourness. A little old lemon, crackers and oak, but really about the cherries. A fair way off dry at the end. Another really lovely one.

Couleur est pure bourgogne, pourpre, col fin rosé.
Arôme est fruité, intense sur la cerise, effet frais, arbuste et verger fraîchement ramassées.
Palais est, comme le nom l'indique, intense dans l'apport de la cerise de Schaerbeek - c’est fruité, généreux, effet un peu râpeux, noyaux de cerise, chair de cerise avec un excellent effet de barrique.

Clear deep ruby red beer, small creamy pink head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: oh my, lovely, lots of cherries, very good, very intense! MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: lovely, lots of almonds, very intense Schaarbeekse cherry flavour, nice acidity, oxidized, lovely! Aftertaste: dry, oxidized, more almonds, super fruity, juicy, very nice!
Intense complexity and a really good beer still but ultimately a hint over the top age-wise.
Plenty of age and complexity. Really nice!

Sampled OBD 2021 . Pours darker, unclear red. Small, nearly no white head. Scent is full, intensely sour cherry. Mild age, works perfectly with the beer though. Taste is full, intense schaarbeekse. lovely !
