Enormous thanks Hildigoltur for this one! Murky orange body, tanish head. Citric, minerally aroma, quite tart, some honey. Pleasant fruity tart note in the taste, apple hubba bubba, fresh, big carbonation, some slightly chocolatey malty notes. Tasty, fresh, drinkable sour.
--Bottled, thanks Marko! -- Hazy golden, rich lively head. Lactic, funky nose with pears and brett. Tart with medium to full body and rounded, spritzy mouthfeel. Bretty, perry, hay and white wine. Low bitterness. Elegant!
0.375 l bottle from 'Etre Gourmet', best before January 2010. Slow gusher. Slightly hazy, deep amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-floral, malty, slightly funky aroma of dried apricot, some honey and light brett. Moderately sweet, gently sour, rather yeasty, moderately fruity-floral taste of vegetables, dried apricot clove, some manure and a touch of honey, followed by a medium long, gently tart, fairly yeasty, quite dry finish. Medium body, slightly astringent and quite effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Somewhat unclean, actually a bit off, not that pleasant. Has potential, but there's quite some room for improvement.
Bottle. Color: Hazy golden, lively carbonation, big but quickly collapsing foamy off-white head. Nice lacing. Aroma: Bit tart, fruity, Brett funk. Taste: Fruity notes of yellow stone fruit, apricot, mandarin and orange. Moderate sweet and sourish tart, equal bitterness. Maybe somewhat more sweetness. Quite strong Bretty funk, farmyard and some leather. Subtle herbal and caramel notes. Some wood. Medium to just over medium body, just below average carbonation. Bittery palate at finish. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Not only a Sour / Wild Ale, but also Saison-like in my opinion.
Alkoholischer Geruch. Süß-süerlicher Beginn, geringe Karbonisierung. Süffig, hefig, leicht bitter, rund. Süffig, Brett, weich, trockener, hefig säuerlicher Abgang. 10/10/10/10/8/10
Gushing to very dense & huge light-yellow head, fully stable over lively carbonated yellow-orange beer with small UFO's. Lactic acid, spices & herbs, wild yeasts, horseblanket & farmyard odours. Diary, pale malts, wild yeasts, but surprisingly little acidity. Again funky-farmyard dominated, horseblanket indicating Brett. No sweetnss, but the chewy breadlike flavour is pure malts. Very slight acidthinning, fizzy carbonation, long-lasting flavours. Warming up, there's a growing flavour as from shellfish - DMS? Aftertaste is just a tad wry. Not half bad, but the nose gave me a totally misleading perception. Pity for the gushing.
Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A hazy dark golden beer with a minimal white ring. Aroma of tart fruits, brett, apricot, apples. Taste of phenols, apricot, strong malt, hints of apples.
Bottle from Bielefelder Biersalon. fruity nose. The beer starts fruity with an interesting floral herbal back. Nice soured, refreshing with a smooth dry and slightly sourish back. Full in body, the 9%ABV are there, but as the body is light with pale malts and yellow fruits, it is quite sessionable. Fruity long aftertaste, hints of booze, sweetish grain and a moderate sourness.
Sample @ Antidoot opening day. Dark golden colour, thin layer of foam. Rather sweet malty along with woody notes. German profile with sour notes. Nice beer!
