These BDs aren't convincing me so far. Pretty decent BA stout, but sooo much barrel that the base is lost. Pretty thin, boozy and reasonably smooth. Barrel gives a lot of peat. Mostly normally way too expensive for the result. Fine for a festival.

Surely just the name but, nutty aroma, yeasty. Taste is bit smoky, sweet and booze. Good stuff.

30 November 2018. Billie's Craft Beer Fest. Cheers to Anke, tderoeck & 77ships! Cloudy black with a lasting, thin, dark beige head; little lacing. Strong aroma of whisky, peat, earth, red apple, bacon, rubber & tar, oak, fondant, coffee roast, soy. Taste is medium malty sweet, impressions of chocolate powder & cream, quite peated already, then somewhat fruity with notes of plum & red apple; the middle has a hint of soy alongside a medium roasted bitterness, coffee roast, a bit spicy. Dryish, peppery & earthy hoppy finish, lingering fondant, apple, very firm warming peated whisky alcohol, quite burning. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft to flat carbonation. Well, this is a massively peated IS if ever there was one, perhaps even slightly overdone. Enjoy with care.

Peat and sweet molasses notes. Jet black brown with a rich brown head. Slick and peaty mud.

Sampled at Billie's 2018. Black with no head. Aroma and flavour have wood, manure, funk, leather and whisky. Too dry. Like a cork. Barely drinkable.

Thanks! Sampled draft @ Billie’s Beer Festival 2018. Day 1. Black syrup with no head. Nose is harsh alcoholic varnish, paint thinner & peat. Taste is chemical plants, glue, peat, varnish, paint thinner and near flat ruined sugar base. Total rubbish, sigh but about what I expected.
