Bottle. Cloudy golden, white head. Tart, light vinegar, spicy sweetness, bubblegum, Medium body, tart hay, leather, aspirin, mellow, cakey, Fun spices in finish and retronasal. Interesting.
Bottle at the Garching XMas tasting. Murky yellow body, white head. Big, odd, sweet, pleasant, I guess barnyard, yeah, Aspirin, Jonas is not off, sweetish though, lightly malty. Lovely, soft, fruity taste, tart finish, so damn balanced, this fruitiness may well be birch-related, but I'm not sure, the Aspirin connection definitely suits it, bit earthy. Quite tasty in a way.
A saison at first, but with a bit of caramelly maltyness present. Fairly traditional, not getting much tree parts except maybe some slight herbal acidity. Fun. Tasty.
Draught Ultradense & -fine, super regular light cream head over fully hazy orangey amber beer. Oranges, ginger, toast. Very dense head hampers nasal perception. Bit woody. Quite sour, notes of pipe tobacco, sour leaves (indeed!), hint of nutmeg, lactic acid and vegetable acids, cacao powder. Quite slick, but light body. Good carbonation; bit oily aftertaste. I've never felt so hungry that I had to chew on birchleaves, but I can indeed imagine they sport this kind of flavour. All in all, better than the sum of its parts.
Nice smooth sour beginning. Easy to drink with wood and grain. Herbal leaves there, fruity mild body, easy to drink. refreshing sourness, moderate fruity with a nice herbal fruity grainy aftertaste. Nice.
03-01-20 // RB tasting with erzengel and beerhunter111. A little sweetish sour nose. Wild. With a herbal woody aroma. Birch leaves are interesting.
75cl bottle. A hazy orange golden beer with a white lacing. Aroma of tart orange fruits, berries, plums. Taste of sourish plums, red fruits, caramel, easy to drink, nice.
Spritziger, erfrischend säuerlicher Antrunk. Geringe Bitterkeit, steigende Säure, fruchtig. Intensiver, fein herb säuerlicher Abgang. Hohe Süffigkeit. 9/12/11/12/9/12
