Pours unclear orangeblonde. No real head. Smell is citrussy ( orange) tad tart. Oak, mild funk. Taste is sharp, tart, strong acidity ( mostly lactic acid, some acetic acid) milder fruityness. Not bad. But not great.
28-09-19 // bottle shared at Mon Petit Cafe Suttgart on Zwanze Day 2019. Hazx yellow. Strong funky wild nose. Acidic sour. Mandarin and yellow fruit. Astringent. But loevely.
Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a hazy gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong citrus, lemon zest, oak, cheese. Thin body, cheese, funk, oak, orange peel, tart finish, very nice.
Bottle shared at Alex's birthday. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Lovely dried citrus, tangering and iyokan aromas up front with some musty hay and straw as it warms up. More of the same on the palate with pith, tart citrus and a slight dekopon sweetness mid-palate that works well with the acidity. Light lemon towards the finish with grass, hay and funk. Great stuff. --- Beer merged from original tick of Bookends on 22 Feb 2019 at 23:39 - Score: 9
