At home. . Deep brown... Thin tan lacing... Soft sweet blackcurrant ovaltine roast nose... Soft sweet coffee roast... Soft malts... Light easy
A corked 0.75l bottle. Looks good with a medium sized kinda beige looking head on top of a light blurry Cola colored beer. Lots of sweet slightly burned caramel on the nose. A bit to sweet compared to my coffee expectations, but it also of course is coffee infused in the aroma. A little bit of sweet concentrated prunes and licorice is also found here. Really enjoy the flavor in this. Tons of nice not to sweet but sweet licorice and coffee. It feels light oily in the mouth with a below average almost soft carbonation level. Dark candied sugar, some plums and a little bit of nice warming alcohol in the background. Have to say that the expectations are high for coffee flavor and aroma when you're call a beer coffee ale, and perhaps that could have been a bit more present. All in all a nice tasty one! 22.11.2013
75cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian - thanks! Pours clear deep amber with a beige. Aroma is dominated by fresh coffee, malt and hints of caramel. Sweet, malty and coffee flavoured with some bitterness. Nice one!
Bottle @ Casa de Greg, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Holy fucken balls, the foam is out of control on this slut. No apparent sign of infection in the nose. Hazy brown appearance. Slight metallic, cola, caramel, a bit sweet, lightly roasted coffe aroma. A bit twangy, milk chocolate, mocha, light coffee, earthy, creamy flavor with a soft yeast presence. Pretty good but not as good as some of their releases.
Bottle. Hazy dark amber brown color, beige head. Aroma of coffee soaked brown bread. Taste is smooth lightly toasted pumpernickel bread. Not bad.
