Bottle from 2010. Tastes lovely, lots of toffee, light sparkle, body is full but at the same time light and airy. Fruity, rich, plums, marzipan. Pretty damn nice. Doughy.

Aroma has rosebuds and malt. Sweetish, malty and a bit of sourness. Warming sensation of alcohol, red berries. Lots of alcohol and fruit, but the flavor is OK. Bitter aftertaste. Re-rate: rating stays the same, but I noticed pear and raisin. Maybe this bottle was younger, the taste was very sweet and sugary.

Bottle. Dark brown color with beige head that goes down quickly. Aroma is chocolate, prunes, floral, red grapes. Taste is prunes, chocolate, vineous, even a bit tart, some port wine and hazelnuts. High carbonation. Stays surprisingly light in its body, but the booze is definitely detectable. A sipper, definitely a good beer, but not as great as expected after the 10 was a really pleasant surprise, but maybe that’s because it’s still summer outside.
