Clear gold yellow to orange blond beer, big solid creamy yellowish head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: overripe fruits, oranges, orange peel, tropical fruits, juicy, nice, alcohol, a bit oxidized, nice! MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very bitter start, resinous, juicy, alcohol, fruity, lots of oranges, a bit medicinal. Aftertaste: very bitter, oranges, dry, a bit chemical, hoppy, sweet, meh, not so great.
Tap. Pours clear golden with a medium offwhite head. Aromas of citrus, earthy malt, mandarin, light tropical fruit. Taste is sweet, malty, orange, peach, caramel.
Tap at APEX. Very tropical and spiky, bit thick and boozy, spiky and boozy. Pretty nice, but full on. (what was I talking about? no idea)
Tap @ Mikkeller Beer Celebration Tokyo, Yellow Session. Creamy orange pour. Nose is fruity, nice clean and promising a decent hop kick. Tastes surprisingly smooth, creamy fruity body is well balanced with super fresh hop character, piney and resiny but really well balanced,so you don's almost feel the alcohol at all. Pretty amazing that with this ABV it is possible to brew so smooth and smashable beer. Dangerous.
Sampled draft @ TCBW 2018. Orange hazy, creamy white head. Nose is old school pine resin, orange peel, classic. Tasty classic orange peel, pine, caramel, thick, lingering, very nice.
Crowler from share on 11/12. Pours out a nice, rich golden color, with small, soft, fluffy head. Hops dominate the aroma, some nice citrus, fruity sweetness. Taste continues with more of the hop forward flavors, some juicy tropical fruits. Lingering bitter bite.
Draught@CBC2016 (Yellow session). Orangeish amber colour, small slightly off-white creamy head. Aroma is sweet malts along with some nectar and mild floral and grassy notes as well. Flavour is pine, some tropical fruits, mild citrus as well as some nectar, honey and also rather bitter grassy notes. Smooth and surprisingly easy to drink considering the high abv.
