Bottle. Very dark brown with alight tan head that fades to an inch. Aroma of toffee - burnt and not - coffee, pine, spiced licorice. Smooth, lowish carbonation. Flavour is as suggested by the aroma except rather less - it's nicely balanced but not all that flavorful for its strength. Bitter with grilled grapefruit and pine at the end. Quite Old Ale-like. Pretty good but punches below its weight.

Bottle from tbone_, thanks Timo! Deep dark brown color. Coffee, licorice and caramel in the aroma. Creamy, velvety flavor with coffee, cacao, caramel, licorice. Pleasant creamy roastbitter aftertaste with coffee. Indeed, a very good beer.

On tap at Murphy’s Law. Dark pour with a fine-grained tan head. Notes of dried fruit, sweet spices, chocolate, light cognac. Medium body and carbonation.
