16/11/2019 - 33cl botlle @Togoloog. Hazy golden, big white head. Nose is malts, bit floral, bit hops. Taste is malts, quite dry, soft bitter ending.
Botteled jan 2000. Sherry aroma. Hoppy, dusty flavor. Sherry flavor, some cream. Has softened up over the years, I guess. Still good lacing. Carries the years with dignity.
At 't Apostelken, Aalst. Shared with Anke.
Pours clear golden with a big, lasting, foamy, white head; some lacing. The aroma contains malt, yeast, spices, some banana & pineapple, grassy hops. It tastes medium spicy bitter and only very light fruity sweet, lots of yeast notes; dry, yeasty, bit hoppy & herbal finish. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. Stereotypical Belgian Tripel, no need to have it again.
Dégustée au printemps 2008 au Saint-Bock (De mes notes papiers). .
F: huge, snow-white, long lasting. C: golden, hazy. A: malty, fruity, orange peels, spicy, coriander, yeasty, bit of oxidized. T: malty, fruity, yeasty, dough, herbal, coriander, bit of soapy mouthfeel, honey, not bad but quickly forgettable beer, medium to full body, medium carbonation, 33cl bottle from Cora Woluwe-Saint-Lambert in Brussels.
33cl bottle: BBD 16 Jan 21. Drank outside ’Iceberg’ Middelkerke on a sunny afternoon, 16 May 17. We shared this alongside a bottle of his dark brother, the 10% ABV ’Donker’. Golden blonde pour, no sediment left the bottle: white crown on top. Yeasty herbal aroma with a semi-sweet malty taste, some fruitlike flavours also, leaning towards citrus bitterness in the finish.
Bottle shared. Nice picture of God on the label. Very floaty hazy orange with an off white head. Aroma is very herbal upfront, coriander of course, yeast, light citrus and caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
33cl bottle shared with Kermis. Thick creamy white head. Very hazy blond pour. A decent triple.
Cloudy golden blonde tripel with off-white foam; estery and sweet, malty, caramelly, very fruity, some DMS in the nose, yeasty with dryish finish, some herbal hops and warming alcohol. Okay but stereotypical.
