33cl Bottle from Uiltje Taproom. Black colour, beige-brown head. Aroma of liquorice, roasted malts, warming alcohol, a bit of red fruits, quite sweet. Flavour is sweet but not overly so, roasted malts, red fruits, alcohol, some molasses, a bit of salmiak, liquorice, caramel, firm bitter finish. Full bodied. Nice and balanced.
Bottled 18.08.15. Less heavy than expected, considering ABV. Solidly bitter, coffee, some wood, plenty red fruit, smth salty. Supercreamy!
TST/TWAT. Bottle shared at svartvit’s black with light tan head. Deep dark roasted chocolate malts, burnt. Fruitiness and ash. Moderate sweet and more bitter. Full body, low carbonation. Dry and alcoholic.
Bottle shared at The Sweetest Tasting. Black with small light brown head. Cocoa, espresso, quite some alcohol, red currant, earthy tobacco notes, soft licorice. Medium sweet, under medium bitter and decent sour kick at the end. Over medium bodied with alcoholic dry finish. Surprisingly nice for the abv
Bottle at cropredy 2016 day 2... Dark black.. Thin tan lacing.. Soft meaty... Bih Berries nose.. Dark chocolate roast.... Rich heavy roast chocolate roast
Good resistant head, dark beige, over jet-black beer. Sour, whisky-like, as a whisky-sour indeed. Lactic acid, spruce. Light acidity in the mouth, lactic, sour cream, roast, whisky. Rich flavour - but absolutely doesn’t give a 16+% impression... Nice, even if it hasn’t % ABV. Thanks to Louis!
Bottle @ ZZT 2016-1, small sample. Thanks all for sharing! Dark color, short frothy head. Aroma of big chocolate, some coffee, oak, vanilla. Dry in taste, licorice. Toffee. Bit too much booze unfortunately.
