Bottle. Dark amber color. Malty floral biscuity aroma and flavor. Low on carbon. Indeed a worthy bitter. Slightly yeasty aftertaste with pear.

0.33 l bottle from ’De Bierkoning’, best before September 2016. Clear, golden amber with a massive, stable, foamy, tan head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of toffee, honey, orange jam and biscuits. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity taste of toffee, honey, biscuits, orange jam and straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy finish. Thin to medium body, effervescent mouthfeel, excessive carbonation. Decent stuff, just a little overcarbonated.

Bottled (from biernavigatie.nl). Hazy amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, some yeast, mild malts and some herbal notes. Nothing bitter to this. Flavour is sweet, spicy, mild yeast, some sweet malts as well as some herbal notes. More of a Belgian ale than a bitter...
