Bottle. Color: Clear amber,noff-white head. Aroma: Tart, notes of wood, fruity notes, mold. Taste: Moderate to over moderate sweet and tart and moderate bitterness, very smooth mouthfeel, notes of wood, sweet and sour apples, overripe apples, appleskin, subtle overripe citrus and grape, hints of stone fruit. Quite some (fruity) bitterness for n Oude Geuze. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Quite complex. Just under average carbonation, medium body. Very nice.
Musty flowers (chrysanthemum), apple, biscuit malt, vinegar, and hay aroma. Slightly hazy golden yellow with small head. Lightly sweet apple/citrus, biscuit malt, mildly sour vinegar/citric acid, and mildly bitter dry hay flavor. Good body, great balance. Very nice.
Bottle shared with Lukasmh. Pours hazy orange with a medium white head. Aromas of deep mushroom funk, light vinegar, grapes, sweet red apples. Taste is sweet, light vinegary, sweet grapes, floral, lemony, heavy forest floor funk, sweet apples.
Lovely aroma. Taste is less exciting but still good. White grape, apple juice. Nicely dusty but little bit flat.
Corked bottle. golden color. Honey, orange and wood in the aroma. Hint of strawberries. Sour flavor, well matured with honey, orange, wood and gingery notes. Fairly low on Carbon. Nice.
at Grote Dorst. lots of mold and mildew flavors. a little poopy smell with rotten hay. slight toasty oak and lime at the end.
