Bottle from Beer Planet labelled Zwarte Piet. Apparently Zwarte Piet is going to be another different beer soon, but this one was the Equinox. Dark brown, creamy golden head. Aroma is beefy, roasty. Bit fruity too, and some whiskey type booze or spice. Taste is dark and roasty, bit of booze there, touch of coffee bitterness, spice, liquorice. Quite full on in the mouth and even a little bit prickly. Pretty nice. --- Beer merged from original tick of Brusseleir Zwet IPA on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8. 75 cl bottle. Cardemom and brown sugar in the aroma. Peppery and spicy flavor with some caramel and yeasty bitterness. Sweetish, malty, reasonably balanced for a spicy beer.
Edwin Z. is drinking a Brusseleir by Brasserie de la Senne Droge black ipa, laurier, dun, matigheid troef, aroma gaat nog smaak een stuk minder
RB backlog, Bevog Festival 2018. Berries, zesty grapefruit, coffee, nuts. Medium sweet, a bit tart and with a medium bitter finish. Medium body with medium carbonation that could be a little softer.
Bottle. Malty aroma, hoppy notes, chocolate, cocoa, light coffee, earthy notes. Tastes the same as aroma, medium bitter, light sweet notes. Full body, medium to high carbonation, malty bitter finish. Ok.
Taster @ beer tasting with Suus @ Taplokaal Gist, Utrecht. Dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts with some hops. Sweet taste. Not really as hop forward as most black IPA's but pleasant nontheless.
