11 year old bottle. Dark colour and a beige head that quickly recedes. Aroma's: sweetish, cola, fruit syrup, spices. Reteonasal it's sweetish, old yeast, spices, dried fruit. Flavour is moderate sweet, brown sugar, light spicy bitterness. Medium bodied. Spices in the finish. OK, but clearly past its prime.

Bottle. Pours a dark dark brown with a small shortlasting tanned head. Aromas of some caramel malt, sweet dark dried fruits, some spices, booze, soy, licorice. Taste is pretty sweet up front, malt, slight roast, pretty spicy. Dark chocolate. Full body.
2006 bottle, thought it might have been left too long, but it's great. Amazing. Dark fruity, chocolate and caramel, very rich and fruity, raisins, lots of yeastiness, marzipan, nutty. Great stuff.
Very dark colored, frothy head. 2005 vintage. Complex aroma: plums, pepper, nutmeg, maple syrup. Very sweet, sugary flavor with nutmeg, plums, apple, pear, cinnamon, chocolate and raisin. Lovely long aftertaste of apple dumplings. The alcohol is there, but fairly well hidden. I like this beer, but I prefer more body and less sugary sweetness, but the complexity is there. Perhaps this beer will further improve with cellaring. 2007 vintage, tasted in december 2012. Bottle. Marky dark brown color carmel and porto in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with caramel, red fruit and an upcoming tartness. Complex. Majestically matured.
