Bottle. Amber color. Toffee and cady sugar in the aroma. Dusty, slightly vinous but sweet flavor with caramel and a hint of alcohol. Friendly brew with soft notes of dried fruit.

Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker. Pours unclear amber. Aroma is funky, candy, damp cellar. Body is medium, a bit dead, low carbonation. Kinda works.

At Hopishop 2016. Aroma of malt, raisin and vanilla. Tatse has soft caramelised malt, raisin and amber malt. Has gotten old I suppose.

Occasional ’witch beer’ for the Heksenfeesten of Nieuwpoort. Thinnish but stable, creamy, yellowish white head, pure bronze ’autumn’ colour. Gentle aroma of white port wine, liquorice, toasted bread, caramel sauce, cocoa powder, coriander, coffee, redcurrant, wodka. Delicate candi sweetness, candied fruits, caramel, toffee, resinous mouthfeel with ’dusty’ yeastiness and some warming, liqueurish alcohol, some cloying sweetness in the finish too with coffee powder-like roasted bitterishness and medium long leafy hop bitter. Again a Scotch-style ale in disguise.
