This bottle had flavors all over the place. Bitter, sour spongebob, boozy and stale. Bad batch? Expires end of 2021 but I had to dispose it after four sips. I normally rate Oedipus beers high, so this was a bummer.
Tap @ Borefts 2015. Black. Aroma has roast, malt and chocolate. Malty sweet flavor with chocolate, roast, alcohol and mint. Quite pleasant.
0.33 l bottle at Pivoteka, Zagreb. Shared with PH Pit, Wrong Kika and Maniac Robby. Black. Aroma is toasty, nutty, alcohol, fruity, dark fruit. Dark cherry. Metallic. Slightly sweet. No complexity. Alcohol bite, no hops.
Bottled 330ml (Beer Merchants)
Opaque colour, small beige head. Roasted, cocoa, caramel, coffee in the nose. Full-bodied. Toasted, inky, coffeish flavour. Somewhat alcohol and quite rough. Tolerable but there are so many better imperial stouts nowadays around.
Bottle. Pours black. Aroma is booze, coffee, toffee, caramel, chocolate. Body is heavy and strong, quite burnt, lots of booze, but not overly sweet. Lowish carbonation. Good balance, oily and smooth, but not overdone. Good.
Bottle from Damian Beerstore. Dark brown color with medium light beige head. Light aroma of roasted malt, cocoa. Taste, roasted malt, chocolate, nuts. Nice.
33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Black with a tan head. Dark roasted malts aroma with some dark chocolate, candy sugar and some citrus. Sweet taste. Very smooth imperial stout with some freshness from the hops.
