On tap at Bondgenoot Craft Beer Festival. Ruby-brown pour, clear, with a tan head. Raspberries, dried fruit, caramel, sherry, wine, raisins. Full-bodied, low carbonation and a sticky, boozy, sweet aftertaste.
On tap at the Kompaan beer festival shared with Kermis. thin off white head. Hazy amber pour. Bittersweet. Some wine notes
Draft at Kaapse fest. Aroma of malt, raisin, booze and prunes. Taste has soft red fruit, raisin, subtle nuts, cinnamon, ripe fruit, oak and a soft layer of vinous booze. Good beer.
Tap at Kaapse 2nd Anniversary. Clear dark brown off white head. Sweet toasted caramel malts. Bretty goaty thing going on, some cocoa. Medium sweet, light bitter, faint sour bend. Medium body, quite oily, low to no carbonation.
Draft at the Kaapse beer festival. Hazy amber brown with a small tan head. Aroma of boozy wine barrels, plastic, caramel, overripe dark fruit and toffee. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter. Above medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Sample draft @ BBP, Kaapse Brouwers event. Acajou, col fin beige.
Sampled draft @ Brussels Beer Project. Dark amber syrup with little head. Nose is massive cough syrup coated in red wine, low herbal & some molasses. Taste is massive cough syrup mixed with massive red wine, sweet sugar, red berries. Thick syrup, low carbonation. Basically akin to alcoholic cough syrup some wine, not bad really but not really my cup of tea either. Interesting I suppose.
Sampled at Kaapse Tap Takeover ( hosted by BBP ) . Pours dark amber. Smell is sweet, plastic. Taste is sharp, plastic, bit bitter. Some malts. OK
Tap Takeover Kaapse
On tap at Kaapse Brouwers. Brown color with beige head. Cherries, wood, coffee, a little bit funk. Taste is coffee, fruit tartness, slightly astringent, balsamico, apples, nice coffee and sourish finish. Awesome. Just a hint too light for the 11 ABV, but maybe that?s because I had Lennie before.
