Süßlicher, getreidig herber Antrunk. Unrund, Nicht mein Fall. Deutlich würzig. 10/8/8/8//8
Thx! for sharing DutchDrebus & Benzai! Sampled draft @ Van Moll Fest 2016. Very hazy dark orange with a tanned head. Nose is sweet Christmas pudding, vanilla, sweet spices,… Taste is weird sweetness, taste is a bit empty, low plastic with Christmas pudding, heavy beer, bit hard to drink partially due to sweetness & heavy raisin, Christmas character, sugar, oak, raisin,… Body is oddly bit empty with soft carbonation, vanilla,… Strange heavy, bit of an odd Christmas beer,… Would have liked a bit fuller body & may some more vanilla oak,.. this is an interesting one, not entirely to my taste but some interesting things happening here for sure.
Hazy orange to amber colour with a small off-white head. Smells barley wine, sweat, sticky. Tastes sweet, cloying, intense. Full body, soft carbo.
Sampled at Van Moll Beer fest. Opaque murky dusty dark orange color, medium to full sized beige head. Aroma is malts, overripe fruits, raisins, alcohol. Taste malts, overripe fruits, dark raisins, alcohol, lightly caramel, sweet, lightly sugary. Heavy, but a nice sipper.
Draft at Kaapse fest. Aroma of malt, sweet fruit and licorice. Taste has lots of licorice, raisin, malt and sweet booze. Too much licorice for me.
Draft at the Kaapse beer festival. Dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of big oak upfront with vanilla, caramel, toffee, light overripe dark fruit and sweet malt. Flavour is heavy sweet. Light full bodied with a very soft smooth texture and soft carbonation.
Tap at Kaapse 2nd Anniversary. Dark brown with offwhite head. Very sweet, chocolate malts, raisans, barley, quite hoppy. Sweet with mild bitter undertone. Full body, greasy oily texture. Smooth sweet motherfucker. Nice!
Tap at Kaapse Brouwers festival. Dark mahogany with fluffy light beige head. Vanilla, sweet milk chocolate, light oak, raisins, marzipan, figs, booze. Over medium sweet with some alcohol bitterness. Full bodied. Quite nice.
