330ml bottle. Pours clear golden with a lot of sediment floating around, nice creamy smooth white head. Aroma: tropical and citrus fruit, floral, slight dank note too. Taste: bitter, citrus and tropical fruit, pine, bready malt, pithy hop bitterness, lingering finish. Medium body and carbonation. Good but not one of my favourites in this style.
On tap at Avenue Pub. Pours gold with medium off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong grass, dank, floral. Medium body, citrus, grass, bitter finish, good.
Bottle from Wittich online shop. Cloudy yellow with a quickly dying foam. Not intense on aroma, but with a healthy complex taste. Crisp carbonation, making the sweetness a little less poignant. Good.
Pours a hazy pale yellow color, topped with a big white head. Fruity aroma upfront, some flowery nad grassy notes later on. Alcohol presence and malty backbone. Also some candy feel to the nose. Sweet and fruity, biscuity malt at the beginning. Moderate bitterness and some warming alcohol. Strong taste, but nice. Aftertaste is slightly burning and short. Ok.
Draft. Hazy golden color, white head. Aroma of passion fruit, peach, light pine. Taste is bittersweet fruit, some raw bread dough. Nice balance. Very tasty.
Golden color frothy white head. Dry slightly hoppy nose with mangoes and citrus notes. The mouth is fairly dry, but lack character and a bit astringent. Kinda odd finish. Ok, but not the greatest
Aroma is soft plum and pear notes. Has a fine foggy body with minimal head. Flavour is okay pear and hop flavours but they are not prominent. It’s surprisingly easy to drink given the alcohol. It’s a very drinkable strong brew.
Draught at Gollem in Antwerp. American style English IPA with thickly lacing, off-white, stable head and cloudy ochre blonde colour (the glass which was served to me, was apparently the end of the keg). Strong IPA aroma of orange juice and orange peel, grapefruit zest, strawberry, mango, wet leather, wet hay, field flowers, bitter honey, peach. Fruity, rich onset of pineapple, peach and gooseberry, a tad sweet but drying quickly, yeasty with a soft, juicy honeyish malt sweetness underneath; early finish of drying, resiny, citrus peel hops, long and peppery without bittering ’too’ deeply. Very elegant, perfectly balanced IPA, exemplary for its style.
On tap. @El Lúpulo Feroz, Oviedo 22/05/2015. Color amarillo transparente, espuma blanca, aromas y sabores citricos.
