Sputnik was the first artificial Earth satellite that triggered the Space Race between the Soviets and USA back in the 1950s. Our tribute to the Russian Imperial Stout style orbits around the dark matter of rich chocolate, coffee, raisins and molasses. This is a beer that demands space and time. It travels the void between the accepted and the unearthly. Prepare for lift off.

Bottle from SB. Black with a lasting beige head. Roasted with dark chocolate, some rye bread, coffee and vanilla. Very light bitterness, very smooth. Fine carbonation, light for an imperial stout. Basically a well made imperial stout with Everything you expect of it. Solid but nothing exceptional.

Keg at BrewDog Kungsholmen, Stockholm. Dark brown, small head. Chocolate and earth, madeira and crude oil up front. Mid dry with full body and gentle, rounded mouthfeel. Earthy licorice and dark chocolate. Long bitter finish. Unusually balanced and pleasant imperial stout with some salmiak.
