A conscious and meaningful brewing effort between friends and lovers of barrel aged beers: formulated as a blend of our signature barrel aged stouts, we both selected techniques and ingredients that pushed both our skill sets. The resulting beer rested for 14 months in fresh bourbon barrels. Inky, warm, dark & extravagant, swallowing you into a deep abyss of liquid love. Collaboration with Side Project.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with small tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is roasted malt,whiskey, vanilla, wood. Thick body, chewy roast, dark chocolate, wood, vanilla, boozy finish, enjoyed this.

Batch 2 bottle shared for Blind Stout Share. Pours a deep brown to black with almost no head. Very fruit driven nose with milk chocolate next to orange and plum. Some light smoke comes out as it warms. Oak on the palate with more chocolate and milk. Like a chocolate covered orange. Sweet and fruity finish that lingers. ABV hidden well.

Bottle from trade. Pours black with very brief head. Deep bitter chocolate, tobacco, toasted grains, wee bit candi sugar. Some alcohol heat. Quite old school heavy hitter. Intense.

Bottle @ Boring Portland Share. Pours pitch black with a small dark brown quickly dissapearing head. Aromas of tar, dark chocolate, burned wood, vanilla, malt. Taste has tar, booze, dark chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla, fudge.

Thanks Walt for sharing the bottle! Taster showing black with no head. The nose shows a strong alcoholic heat with moderately intense notes of molasses and brownies. The palate is thick and barely carbonated. Moderately sweet with moderately intense flavors of light raisin, smoke, and sugar cane.

Thanks! Sampled draft @ Billie’s Beer Festival 2018. Day 2. Black syrup. Nose is alcoholic bourbon, sugar, sweet pastry, candy with big walnut. Taste is sweet alcoholic boozy, pleasant bit too hot but with good sugar, bourbon pastry, candy and dark nuts. Thick, tasty stuff.

Draft at Billie’s Beer Festival ‘18. Black with a ring tan head. Aroma of rich chocolate, dark malt, bourbon, vanilla, oak, coffee and fudge. Flavour is heavy sweet. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Clear dark brown to black beer, small to no head. Aroma: lots and lots of soy sauce, alcohol, roasted, some coffee notes. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of alcohol up front, bourbon, vanilla, some soy sauce, coconut, sweet, more bourbon. Aftertaste: alcohol, bitter, roasted, dark chocolate, bourbon.
